Mama Sita Foundation launches food writing contest for Filipinos abroad

CHICAGO–Foodies are invited to join “Mga Kuwentong Pagkain,” an annual contest by the Mama Sita Foundation (MSF) that aims to gather and make a valuable compilation of Philippine food preparations, stories and recipes.

MSF is accepting entries from overseas Filipinos, including Filipino Americans or those who are of Philippine descent with an interesting encounter with Filipino food.

With the theme of “Regional Food Heritage,” such entries may include detailed accounts of local or regional recipes, ingredients, food preparations and rituals or personal experiences.
