A cop in Clackamas, Oregon was surprised when he had to respond to a call for help, only to find out that the disturbance was caused by a distressed parrot.

According to a report by Oregon Live, a UPS deliveryman heard screams from a nearby home on Monday. He thought that someone was yelling for help.

The deliveryman then called his wife, who then called the police. Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office deputy Hayden Sanders responded and went to the subject residence.

Upon reaching the site, Sanders chuckled when he discovered that it was a parrot named Diego who was heard yelling.

The Clackamas Sherrif Twitter page shared this photo of Sanders with Diego as a memento of the funny moment.

The good news is that the parrot was found unharmed despite his cries, when Sanders checked on him. Katrina Hallare/JB
