Virginia Catholic Filipino commission hosting annual youth retreat

RICHMOND, Virginia — The Office of Asian Ministry Filipino Commission is inviting youth, 8th grade to college freshmen, for a weekend of fellowship, prayer, good food and dynamic talks, starting on Friday August 18 at 5:00 p.m. and ending on Sunday, August 20, at 2:00 p.m., at the Roslyn Retreat Center, 8727 River Road, Richmond, Virginia.
The “Fruit of the Spirit” weekend retreat is an opportunity to build and sustain a strong youth community and share gifts and talents. “Jesus calls all of us to participate in the life of the Church and as the present and future church the youth are an important part of evangelization,” states the commission.
Cost of the weekend is $65, youth; $80 adult chaperone. This non-refundable fee includes lodging, meals and materials. It is made possible by the Diocesan Appeal. Reservations must be made by August 10, 2017 to receive the discounted rate of $92.00 per room. Limited rooms are available at this discounted rate so make your reservations early through the Office of Asian Ministry.
