Huge Filipino ‘Seafood City’ opens in Calgary

CALGARY, Alberta — California-based Filipino grocery chain Seafood City is forging ahead with massive expansion plans in Canada, opening its Calgary branch in Sunridge Way on February 20.
Seafood City’s first Canadian store opened in September 2017 in Mississauga, Ontario. It has another store in Winnipeg and a fourth one expected to open in Edmonton, Alberta soon.
Seafood City is well known for isles of uncut fresh fish, smaller size fish, meat cuts for Asian and Filipino dishes, and specialty Asian ingredients in addition to Asian produce.
The huge store features three in-house restaurants serving authentic Filipino food: Grill City; Crispy Town; Noodle Street.
