NaFFAA Midwest voters’ education forum, Aug. 25
A Voters’ Education Community Forum will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25 & Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Seafood City in Chicago to discuss and promote the voting rights of Fil-Ams in Illinois.
Organized by the Chicago Consulate General and the State Board of Elections and the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA Midwest), the forum will discuss voter registration developments, voting options, and measures to safeguard the process.
NaFFAA Midwest will lead in arranging for the participation of two to three IL gubernatorial candidates to declare their platforms before the Fil-Am electors and listen to their concerns.
The organizers are seeking sponsors for breakfast/merienda & aim to fill the hall to capacity for a target audience of 300-400.
